SBB, a cooperative of vocational education institutions and professional partners, consolidated two locations into one new office in Zoetermeer. The new location is intended to improve the communication between departments and serve as a sort of ‘clubhouse’ for the many field employees. A brainstorming session revealed a preference for a transparent, fresh, hospitable, functional and yet homey location. In the design, DZAP created a clear contrast between the warmth and homey atmosphere on the work floor and the minimalist, modern look of the meeting areas.
